Don't Worry Be Happy

Sadie Guarding the Perimeter (Front Porch)
Sometimes I wish I had that
Marley song on disk: "Don't worry, be happy."   It wouldn't look so weird to dance to if it was playing in the background, audibly.   Now the song is playing in your head, right?  "Don't worry, be happy!"   Similar take on what Jesus said, "Take no thought for tomorrow, today's troubles are plenty for you to deal with."

I'm fretting about finding a cheaper place to live, preferably sharing space and expenses with someone companionable who would also enjoy my sweet ferocious-sounding service/watchdog Sadie.  Preferably in Denver.

Things that make me happpy, a list.  I know, I know, neither things nor even people MAKE me be happy--still, they give me an excuse to let the happiness shine.

Here's my happiness excuse list:
Two fabulous daughters and their mates, Abi & Genea, Bekah and Ben.  Children are an endless source, if not always of entertainment, then always of interest.

Grandson Rylan, growing up so fast; and godson Christian, growing even faster with his head start

Family and Inlaws:  Mom, brothers Chuck and Mitzi, and Tim and Janet.  Family, especially your parents, are the audience of your life.  (I miss my Dad.)  My consuegros Keith and Mary and Wes and Denise (co-grandparents) help me out so much I could never thank them enough, not to mention how great they are to the kids and grandson--and in addition they are fun to be with!  Neat, huh?

BFFs:  Barb and Maria

Communities:  Wisdom, Church, Artists

The way watercolors work their magic

September and October blue sky days

Berries:  strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and nuts.  Chocolate, forever and always, thank God Atkins bars have chocolate!  (I had to pass on those luscious cupcakes Rebekah and Ben brought for Abi's surprise party.)

Parties, now that I mention it.  Preparing for holidays.Wisdom weekends and parties. Birthday parties.  Wrapping presents.

Singing in the choir and the uplift of worship

Taking photographs and discovering what I see

Soft and cuddly most anything

Glass and prisms, light catching

Rambling with Sadie and hearing her snoring at night

Flowers, pumpkins, green growing fields, tomatoes warm from the garden

City lights, theatre, bistros and cafes

Sunrises, sunsets, lighting and sun shining on the water, moonlight and stars

Yard sales, bazaars and thrift store safaris; adventures

Elephants, tigers and apes, oh my!

Movies and popcorn snuggled up in a comforter

Okay, these are a few of my favorite things, as the song goes.  Just thinking about it has perked me up.  I will get back on the phone.
