Three more inches of snow and plunging temperatures had Sadie and I both blowing clouds of breath this morning. Sadie frolics like a puppy, running circles around me in the fresh snow. It was so cold this morning that she began limping and running on three feet, then a different three feet.
Yesterday it snowed all day, and the region battened down the hatches, canceling school today and advising everyone to stay home from work. I'm not sure how it turned out in Denver, but here in Longmont by 9 a.m. the snow stopped and the sky turned blue. By noon you could still see your breath, but the streets were turning to slush. Jesse and I decided to brave the weather and shop for groceries and Sadie's food. If you don't go out in the snow and cold, how can you appreciate winter?
