Yesterday the girls came down from Ft. Collins in the late afternoon, and we took all three dogs to the Airport Road Dog Park. So fun. Sadie was much better at chasing the frisbee than I was at throwing it. Genea said, How did that frisbee get over the fence? I had to confess I threw it there. Genea graciously climbed over and retrieved it. I did better throwing and Sadie retrieving the frisbee, until Sadie was ready to race off to chase other dogs.
The dogs, Sadie, Zeleka, Abi's service dog, and Genea's puppy Walter, all ran themselves silly with considerable tail wagging and sniffing. We stayed about an hour, and after five the place was filling up.
There is a fenced off area for little dogs, but Walter likes to play with the big dogs.

It was fun to notice how accurate the axiom that people have dogs that look like themselves--or perhaps vice versa. Did I mention Sadie thinks she is the alpha dog no matter what the circumstances or how big the other dogs are? Hmm.
Sadie and Walter contested a bone later, and Walter learned he is not yet a big dog. It was slightly alarming, as I rarely hear Sadie growl like she means it.
