Counting My Blessings Could Go on Forever

This month I took on the pastor's challenge of being grateful every day in November for at least one thing.  Amazingly, I think I could count my blessings every day for 2011 and not run out--the more I look, the more I'm grateful.  That seems like a blessing of its own.

My Thanksgiving.
Every day in November, I am grateful for something:
1) all saints throughout the ages; 2) democracy and the right to vote; 3) colors; 4) children; 5) lunch with my daughter; 6) singing and jazz; 7) dogs; 8) books and libraries and magazines; 9) new technologies; 10) potlucks, picnics and family gatherings; 11) my warm little home with windows and books and a nice front porch; 12) friends and family in hard times and good; 13) Christmas bazaars, concerts and celebrations; 14) doctors, ambulance crews and all medical personnel; 15) prayers, blessings and meditation; 16) languages and communication in all its forms; 17) movies; 18) cameras; 19) birds and squirrels; 20) the friendship of my daughters and in-laws; 21) music, music, music; 22) wind, spirit and the breath of life; 23) eye glasses;24) Thanksgiving Day tradition; 25) Christmas lights; 26) cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, truck stops and home cooking; 27) artists and the beautiful things they make; 28) new friends; 29) sparklies, twinkling lights, bling and pretties; 30) surprises.
