Abi's been working on the cards and ornaments to sell at the show that strarts tomorrow. As it is a group show, only a few of her paintings will be on display. See the Abi Cunningham Gallery link for details about the show Dec. 4,5,6 and to see all of her paintings and cards. The ornaments are made of reused and recycled bits and bobs that Abi has crafted unto small works of art, which will be numbered, dated and signed. I'm hoping to get photos of each of them to put on her blog before they all disappear.
Everyone has rallied around to provide studio help, like Da Vinci and Carravagio had--Denise drilled holes, I gilded sides, Shawna helped string beads. Wes is going to take care of one of the dogs and Rebekah will keep my dog Sadie so I can help Abi with wrapping the art pieces and tying the cards up with ribbon abd handling the production tasks so she can talk with customers. Rebekah and Ben are giving us a place to stay over the three days of the show.
We are excited Abi has sold one piece already, and two others are on reserve. The 20 ornaments are beautiful. We'll send pix from the show.
This is play, so much fun! Nothing like art to make a person feel young.
