Deck the Halls with Lots of Kanji

Peace-Love-Joy
Abi's 2010 holiday collection is titled "Peace-Love-Joy."  This little work of art  was caught in the act of hanging on Rebekah and Ben's  Christmas tree.

Apparently I wasn't the only one impressed with Abi's ornaments, as they sold well.  While the show was fun and I loved being around so much art and so many artists, it was tiring. I'm happy after four days to return to my apartment!  It's so peaceful.

Stonebridge is catching up with the season with more porches and balconies decorated daily with bows and wreathes for the daytime and twinkling lights at night.  A number of homes are decorated in blue or blue and white, which makes me wonder if those might be Hanukkah lights, as it's that time already.  There are apartments decorated in red and green, red, multicolored flashers (what my Dad used to call "road house Christmas lights"),  and, like mine, over-abundant sparkly white.  It's festive walking around in the cold and dark.

Before I was enfolded in the whirlwind of the art show I did get Christmas cards sent out to the family.  More slated to go out to friends.  Not to mention packages that need shipping.  I have boxes set up for the various households where more than one package goes.  Despite the organization, I feel the Advent countdown pressing in.

We will be practicing Christmas music at choir tonight getting ready for this Sunday, the all-music service on Dec. 19 and of course Christmas Eve.  We're for sure in the season now!
