On my bucket list for years has been seeing a performance by Cirque du Soleil. Imagine a circus with live singers, non-stop action, gorgeous costumes, a band and no animals. This past week Jesse and I saw "Alegria" at the Broomfield Event Center. The set was amazing. While I didn't experience the jubilation that Alegria suggests, I was awed by the prowess of the acrobats and trapeze artists. The clowns had us in the palms of their hands. Volunteers pulled from the audience were good sports. The contortionists were so double-jointed they at times didn't seem human, more like insects. Highly recommend for anyone who loves spectacle.
